BUILD! You can have 2 homes of any size built and also can have a mobile home or RV on the property. For agricultural purposes you can have Horses, Cows and livestock on this property as well as have orchards.
HOW TO GET TO THIS PARCEL:
The property is accessible by a cross-country hike. The easiest way to access it is from the south, at the end of 4WD/high-clearance dirt road, 5 miles away from the nearest paved road (to the east). The road may, in parts, only be accessible with a quad, ATV, dirt bike or similar vehicle designed for rough terrain.
WILD FACTS
Summer monsoon thunderstorms can wash out roads, so its impossible determine the exact conditions without input from, for instance, a local resident-rancher. The owner should establish contact with a local rancher to discuss land use issues, road conditions, potential emergencies, etc.
PUTTING THE STEPS IN
Its a 1.5-mile, 1-3 hour hike up a canyon, from a spring (Hillside Spring) at the end of the dirt road. This is as close as you can get with a vehicle. If you cant drive all the way up the road to the spring, you will need to park and walk to the spring first. You can get as close 1.5 miles from the spring without a 4WD/high-clearance vehicle. This is at the edge of BLM (federal) land, where you can safely park or camp away from nearby private property.
Its easy to follow animal trails through the canyon. The surrounding federal land is open range for cattle. Many ranchers occupy the homes you pass along Volk Canyon Road. There’s a community mailbox where Vock Canyon Rd meets the paved road (Stockton Hill Rd, to Kingman).
